Joinery Estimator

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze shop drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Should be able to check and take site measurements to prepare estimation.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labor expenses
• Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor requirements, and other factors
• Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates
• Evaluate a product’s cost effectiveness or profitability
• Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 to 10 yrs of experience as Estimator (joinery and fit out industry)
• Diploma in Civil / Interior / Joinery or equivalent experience
• Should be having experience in Joinery & Fit outs and Furniture manufacturing industries.
• Strong analytical, communication, and mathematical skills.
