Starting Salary: SAR 2,000 to SAR 2,300 (based on knowledge and skills) plus FREE shared accommodation, transportation, and 1 duty meal
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Role: We are looking for a dedicated Junior Cook (Commis Chef) to help our kitchen team in Riyadh. In this role, you will work under the senior chefs to prepare fresh ingredients and cook high-quality dishes. This is a great starting point for someone who wants to grow their career in a professional, high-end kitchen and learn the secrets of fine dining.
Job Responsibilities:
Chop vegetables, butcher meats, and prepare sauces according to the chef’s recipes so everything is ready for service.
Help the senior chefs at different cooking stations (like the grill, salad, or pastry sections) during busy hours.
Keep your workspace clean and tidy. Make sure all ingredients are labeled correctly and stored in the right fridge.
Check that all food items are fresh and tell the Head Chef if any supplies are running low.
Follow a strict cleaning schedule to ensure all kitchen tools, counters, and floors stay hygienic.
Help unload food deliveries and put them away quickly to keep ingredients at the right temperature.
Strictly follow the cafe’s standard recipes to make sure every dish tastes exactly the same every time it is served.
Qualifications
You should have a basic understanding of cooking methods and how to use kitchen knives safely.
You must understand and follow local health and safety rules (HACCP) to keep our food safe for guests.
You must be able to stand for long periods and work well with others in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment.
