Description

Job Responsibilities

Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and other surveying equipment.

Collect and record accurate field data, including topographic features, boundary lines, elevations, and existing site conditions.

Ensure precision, accuracy, and integrity of all collected survey data.

Process and analyze field measurements using specialized surveying software.

Prepare survey drawings, maps, plats, legal descriptions, and detailed technical reports.

Perform area and volume calculations and other required geometric computations.

Provide survey support for construction, engineering, and land development projects.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys in compliance with project specifications.

Ensure all survey work complies with applicable legal, regulatory, and project standards.

Research and interpret land records, deeds, and legal documentation to support survey activities.

Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functionality of surveying instruments and equipment.

Qualifications

Diploma/Associate’s Degree/Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience as a Land Surveyor.

Strong understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and field techniques.

Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent.

Ability to read, interpret, and prepare maps, plats, and legal descriptions.

Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Experience in specialized surveys (e.g., boundary, construction, or topographic) is considered an advantage.
