Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for efficiently sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for building construction, interiors, mechanical, piping, and electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to secure competitive prices, establish and maintain a strong supplier network, and ensure timely delivery and quality standards for all procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, negotiate, and purchase a wide range of construction, interior finishing, mechanical, piping, and electrical materials at the best competitive prices.

Develop and manage a comprehensive supplier database, building relationships with key vendors and manufacturers within Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations, analyze pricing, payment terms, and technical compliance.

Issue purchase orders and follow up on order status, delivery schedules, and logistics to ensure timely arrivals at project sites.

Conduct regular market research to stay updated on material price trends and alternative suppliers.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory.

Assess supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and maintain accurate procurement documentation.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and Saudi regulations.

Maintain effective communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in vendor prequalification, audits, and supplier evaluation processes as needed.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the construction sector (civil, MEP, interiors, fireline, valves, motors, panel boards or industrial projects).

Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to secure the best prices and favorable contract terms.

Strong supplier networking and relationship-building abilities, preferably with a local (KSA) and regional (GCC) vendor network.

Comprehensive knowledge of construction, piping, electrical, and finishing materials.

Proficiency with procurement software/ERP systems; strong Excel skills required.

Organized, proactive, and results-driven; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Fluent in English; Arabic language is an advantage.
