Description

The Risk Officer is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could negatively impact the organization's financial stability, reputation, or operational efficiency. This role involves developing risk management policies, monitoring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective risk control measures are in place. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of risk management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
Risk Identification & Assessment:

Continuously identify potential business risks, including operational, financial, strategic, and compliance risks.

Evaluate the impact and likelihood of identified risks using quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Risk Strategy & Policy Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies and procedures.

Recommend risk mitigation strategies to senior management and monitor their effectiveness.

Risk Monitoring & Reporting:

Regularly monitor risk exposures and report findings to the risk management team and senior leadership.

Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all risk management strategies are in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

Stay updated on changes in regulatory frameworks and industry standards.

Collaboration & Training:

Work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, IT, Legal) to integrate risk management processes across the organization.

Provide risk management training and guidance to employees to foster a risk-aware culture.

Audit & Review:

Coordinate with internal and external auditors during risk-related audits.

Continuously review and update risk management systems to address emerging risks.

Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, or a related field.

A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PRM (Professional Risk Manager) is preferred.

Experience:

At least 3-5 years of experience in risk management or a related field.

Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management strategies.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in risk assessment tools and software.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
