Description
We are seeking a Security Manager to lead and oversee all security functions across multiple construction project sites.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding personnel, assets, and equipment, while ensuring strict compliance with internal protocols and legal requirements.
You will manage security inspectors and shift supervisors and report directly to the Senior Security Manager and Director of Security.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement security policies and procedures tailored to dynamic construction environments.
Monitor and control site access, perimeter security, and critical zones.
Lead risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and devise risk mitigation strategies.
Oversee and optimise SmartGate and automated access control systems.
Manage and maintain CCTV, alarms, and intrusion detection systems.
Investigate incidents and provide comprehensive reports with corrective recommendations.
Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, HSE, and HR for integrated security planning.
Create and test emergency response plans (e.g., theft, fire, unauthorised entry).
Train and supervise on-site security personnel and relevant construction staff.
Maintain contact with law enforcement, emergency services, and third-party vendors.
Ensure compliance with national and international construction security standards.
Required Background & Skills
Minimum 10 years of security management experience, ideally in construction, infrastructure, or mega-projects.
Deep knowledge of security operations, access control, and surveillance technologies.
Hands-on experience with SmartGate or similar access control systems.
Proven skills in security risk assessment and crisis response.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts (including weekends or nights if required).
Certification in CPR/First Aid and other relevant security credentials (preferred).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Fluency in English (written and verbal); Arabic language proficiency is a strong plus.
Professional certifications in security systems, access control, or site security (preferred).
Experience working in the Middle East or on large-scale construction projects is advantageous.
