Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Management
• Develop annual budget proposals in coordination with senior management.
• Forecast cash requirements and optimise balances to ensure liquidity for operations.
• Research economic trends, revenue opportunities, and internal efficiencies to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Assess and manage the company’s capital structure, fundraising initiatives, and investment strategies.
Compliance, Taxation & Reporting
• Ensure full compliance with Bahrain VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, and auditing standards.
• Oversee tax filings, audits, and all regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
Treasury & Banking
• Monitor and manage daily cash flows and liquidity.
• Build and maintain strong banking relationships; negotiate terms and facilities.
• Manage credit lines, guarantees, and assess customer creditworthiness.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital optimisation.
• Identify and mitigate risks including currency fluctuations, interest rate changes, and credit exposures.
• Implement and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accurate reporting.
Technology & Systems
• Manage ERP and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle NetSuite).
• Leverage data analytics tools for cash forecasting and performance tracking.
• Ensure compliance of finance IT systems with regulatory standards.
Leadership & Coordination
• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team.
• Collaborate with HR, operations, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Provide regular dashboards and reports to management, investors, and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• CPA/ACCA/CA qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a real estate developer or brokerage.
• In-depth knowledge of Bahrain corporate financial law, risk management, and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to build strong banking relationships and secure financing.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
