Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation. This role is perfect for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for cooking.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively.
Ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Help manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Step in and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
