Role Summary
We are seeking a technically sharp Technical Assistant to support our Technical Engineer. This role bridges engineering production and sales enablement. You will handle the heavy lifting of technical documentation, AutoCAD shop drawings, and structural analysis to keep our department operating at a tier-one level.
Key Responsibilities
Submittals & TDS: Prepare, review, and finalize Material Submittals, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and Method Statements for consultants and main contractors.
AutoCAD Drafting: Draw and revise detailed 2D architectural/structural shop drawings for various joint configurations (floor-to-floor, seismic, corner joints, and junctions).
Load Calculations: Perform structural load and movement calculations to verify profile performance against thermal and seismic shifts.
Sales Training Decks: Create technical presentation decks for new and existing products, and conduct internal workshops to teach the sales team about product applications and certifications.
Project Tracking: Manage the submittal register, track consultant comments, and prepare response sheets to close open loops.
Qualifications & Education
Education: Bachelor’s in Civil/Mechanical Engineering OR a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) with 7+ years of experience.
Experience: 3–5 years in expansion joints, architectural metal profiles, or firestop systems in the GCC region.
Technical Skills: Advanced 2D AutoCAD, strong command of MS Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with international standards (ASTM, UL, SBC).
Material Knowledge: Working understanding of aluminum alloys (6061-T6, 6063-T6), stainless steel, and EPDM rubber.
Language: Flawless professional written and spoken English.
Status: Must currently reside in KSA with a Transferable Iqama.
