Description
A waiter's job involves providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking food and drink orders, serving meals, handling payments, and ensuring overall satisfaction, acting as a liaison between diners and the kitchen/bar, and requires stamina, good communication, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tables and address guest needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction: Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
Order Management: Accurately take orders (using notepad or POS) and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly, ensuring timely refills and checking on guest satisfaction.
Payment Processing: Prepare and present bills, handle cash/card payments, and provide change.
Table Maintenance: Clear dirty dishes, reset tables, and maintain a clean dining area.
Problem Solving: Handle complaints and resolve issues diplomatically to ensure a positive experience.
Teamwork: Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service.
