Job Purpose :

Hydrotech Engineering Services is seeking a skilled Welding Demonstrator to support our sales and technical teams by demonstrating welding equipment to potential customers. The role involves showcasing the operation of welding machines such as ARC, TIG, and MIG welders, explaining their features, and assisting customers in understanding their performance and applications.

The candidate should also be capable of performing basic troubleshooting and minor repair works on welding machines when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the operation of welding machines such as ARC, TIG, and MIG welders to potential customers.
• Conduct live welding demonstrations to showcase machine performance and capabilities.
• Work closely with the sales team during customer visits and product presentations.
• Explain technical specifications, features, and benefits of welding equipment to customers.
• Assist customers in selecting the appropriate welding machine based on their application and requirements.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repair works on welding machines when required.
• Support the installation, setup, and testing of welding equipment during demonstrations or trials.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of welding machines and demonstration equipment.
• Follow safety standards and welding procedures during demonstrations and service activities.
• Provide technical guidance and after-sales support to customers when necessary.

• Internal Support: Provide technical assistance and training to staff across departments to enhance their proficiency with company software.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform any other related activity or technical assignment as directed by the Line Manager or HOD.

Qualifications:

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in welding machine operation, demonstration, or service/maintenance of welding equipment.

Skill Sets:

• Strong knowledge of ARC, TIG, and MIG welding processes
• Ability to demonstrate welding machines and explain their features to customers
• Basic welding machine troubleshooting and repair skills
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, operation, and maintenance
• Understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
• Ability to support technical sales demonstrations with the sales team
• Good communication and customer interaction skills
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic components in welding machines
• problem-solving skills for equipment faults and minor repairs
• Driving: Valid KSA driving license and the ability to travel between branch locations
