Description

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction activities for major projects in Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will have strong Saudi Arabia construction experience, with proven expertise in site execution, subcontractor management, manpower planning, project schedules, productivity, HSE, quality, and coordination across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee construction activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
Ensure construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
Lead and coordinate site construction teams, subcontractors, supervisors, engineers, and technical personnel.
Develop and monitor construction execution plans, work schedules, manpower requirements, and resource plans.
Coordinate construction activities across Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other disciplines as applicable.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, productivity targets, and KPIs.
Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Commissioning, Contracts, and Project Management teams.
Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, manpower deployment, and work fronts.
Identify construction delays, constraints, resource shortages, and technical issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, materials, tools, and resources are available to maintain project progress.
Review construction methodologies, method statements, ITPs, work procedures, and execution plans.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, client requirements, and applicable Saudi regulations.
Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, Permit to Work systems, quality standards, and site safety procedures.
Coordinate inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, punch-list clearance, and handover activities.
Monitor construction productivity and implement improvement and recovery measures where required.
Conduct construction coordination and progress meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Prepare construction progress reports, manpower reports, productivity reports, and recovery plans.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Support variation, claim, and commercial matters by providing relevant construction records and technical inputs.
Ensure proper documentation, as-built records, punch-list clearance, and final project handover.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
12–18+ years of relevant construction experience, including significant experience as a Construction Manager / Senior Construction Manager.
Mandatory Saudi Arabia project experience.
Proven experience in large-scale EPC, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Infrastructure, or major construction projects.
Strong experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
Experience in manpower planning, construction scheduling, productivity monitoring, and resource management.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site execution, project controls, and construction documentation.
Experience with major EPC contractors, international contractors, consultants, or Saudi clients is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC, Permit to Work, inspection, testing, and handover requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple construction priorities.
Preferred Experience
Saudi Aramco / SABIC / SWCC / SEC / Royal Commission or other major Saudi client project experience.
Experience with Korean or Chinese EPC/construction contractors.
Saudi Arabia / GCC Oil & Gas and industrial project experience.
Brownfield and Greenfield project experience.
Experience in O&M, shutdown, turnaround, maintenance, and facility upgrade projects is an advantage.
Experience with Primavera P6 and construction planning principles.
Experience managing large, manpower-intensive projects.
