Description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customs clearance procedures for import and export shipments within Saudi Arabia.
• Prepare and submit customs declarations through ZATCA/Bayan systems.
• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and other required documents.
• Check and verify HS Codes, customs duties, VAT, and applicable fees.
• Coordinate with ZATCA, Saudi ports, airports, shipping lines, freight forwarders, transport companies, and inspection authorities.
• Follow up on customs inspections, shipment holds, approvals, and release procedures.
• Ensure all required permits and supporting documents are available before shipment arrival.
• Track shipments from arrival until customs clearance and delivery.
• Coordinate payment of customs duties, VAT, port charges, and other applicable fees.
• Resolve customs clearance issues, documentation discrepancies, and delays.
• Maintain proper records of customs declarations and clearance documents.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, and other departments.
• Monitor and minimize demurrage, detention, storage charges, and customs penalties.
• Ensure compliance with the latest Saudi customs and import/export requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Logistics or Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant customs clearance experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi customs clearance procedures and ZATCA requirements.
• Practical experience with Bayan and FASAH is preferred.
• Good knowledge of HS Code classification, customs duty, VAT, and import/export documentation.
• Experience dealing with Saudi ports, airports, shipping companies, and freight forwarders.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet shipment clearance deadlines.
• Saudi nationality preferred/required if the position is subject to Saudization requirements.
