Job Summary

The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance and installation activities.
Assign work to technicians and craftsmen, ensuring efficient utilization of manpower and resources.
Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Inspect mechanical equipment and systems to identify maintenance and repair requirements.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and work procedures before execution.
Coordinate with operations, engineering, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
Conduct toolbox talks and enforce compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Prepare daily work reports, maintenance records, and manpower reports.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to mechanical technicians and junior personnel.

Qualifications
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial facilities.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and industrial safety standards.
Experience with shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities is an advantage.
Ability to lead teams and manage work under tight schedules.
