Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Cost Controller to design, implement, and manage a complete cost control system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for controlling food and beverage costs, maintaining accurate inventory records, reducing waste, and ensuring all financial and operational reports are prepared accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
???? Cost Control & Analysis
Develop and implement a comprehensive cost control system
Monitor daily food and beverage cost percentages
Analyze variances between actual and theoretical costs
Identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
Inventory Management
Establish and maintain full inventory control procedures
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts
Monitor stock movement, discrepancies, and wastage
Ensure proper storage and FIFO compliance
Financial Records & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate cost records and inventory ledgers
Reconcile stock with accounting records
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and documented
Reporting & Audits
Prepare and present:
Daily and weekly cost reports
Monthly financial reports
Quarterly performance reports
Annual cost analysis and audit reports
Support internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in restaurant cost control
Strong knowledge of inventory systems and cost analysis
Advanced skills in Excel and reporting tools
Experience with POS and inventory software such as:
Oracle MICROS
sapaad
Foodics
Zohoo
SAP
Microsoft Dynamics
Toast POS
MarketMan
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
